At Akatech, we partnered with a major grocery retailer to develop an AI-powered image classification system designed to automatically verify pallets of milk products upon arrival. This project focused on automating the validation of incoming milk pallets using a custom image classification pipeline powered by AI.
The system cross-checks the label identified by the model against what’s expected from the automation software—ensuring immediate detection of any mismatch.
Two high-resolution cameras capture images of every incoming pallet, feeding them into a dedicated inference model. The software processes these images in real-time to flag errors instantly, without human intervention.
